About Us...

The Care Center is a locally organized, non-profit organization that has been serving our community since 1989. We are primarily staffed by loving, concerned volunteers who have received training in peer mentoring. We refer to our trained volunteers as Client Advocates.

All of our services are free, confidential and available regardless of income, race or religion. We operate on financial donations by individuals and private organizations. Because we do not perform abortions, we have no financial interest in your decision. We just want to provide a place for you to take a deep breath, get needed information and make an informed decision.

We recognize...

that you are facing perhaps the greatest crisis of your life and we want you to know - you don't have to face it alone.

We are committed...

to providing our services in a compassionate and thoughtful manner. All of our services are offered free of charge and are confidential to the fullest extent allowed by law. We want you to have all the facts before you make your decision.

We care about you! Call us today for an appointment Monday through Friday, 9-5.

Frequently Asked Questions

What can I expect during my appointment?

Each appointment varies, but as a new client you can expect to meet with a Client Advocate who will fill out an intake form from general information you provide. We recommend you make an appointment. Most appointments are one hour in length and will be tailored to meet your specific needs.

Walk-in pregnancy tests are welcome at anytime during our normal business hours. You will receive a self-administered pregnancy test.

What sort of pregnancy tests do you offer?

We offer a test that determines the presence of hCG in urine. This is a highly accurate test which can detect pregnancy hormones in your urine in as little as 7-10 days after conception. Results are available within four minutes. We are not a medical clinic and do not conduct any blood testing.

Do you only speak English?

We have Spanish-speaking Client Advocates at The Care Center and many of our educational resources are offered in Spanish.

Do you offer referrals for abortion or birth control?

We do not perform nor refer for abortion or birth control. We are committed to giving you the best and most accurate information on all your options, including information on pregnancy development, abortion procedures and sexual risks.

How does your parenting program work?

For established clients who choose to parent, we offer a parent mentoring program which allows you to meet with a Client Advocate on a regular basis to discuss parenting as well as relational and childcare issues. These educational sessions are tailored to your particular needs. You are welcome to attend by yourself or with a partner or friend.

Each time you meet with your advocate, you can request items that you might need for your baby. (diapers, clothing, cribs, car seats, etc.) We do our best to supply what is needed.

I had an abortion in the past that I regret. Can you help me?

Yes! We offer a bible study that can bring healing and wholeness to women who are struggling with post abortion trauma.

Do you offer help for relationship issues?

Our sexual integrity program can give you an opportunity to step back and consider the decisions that have been causing you pain, and make more carefully considered choices in the future.

How can you offer your services free of charge?

The Care Center is a 501(c)3 non-profit service organization. We receive most of our funds and material resources from individuals and private organizations which have a heart for the community. Because of their generosity, all of our services are free of charge.

Are you affiliated with any other organizations?

The Care Center is an independent, local pregnancy resource center that has been serving our community since 1989. We are affiliates of CareNet and Heartbeat International.
